Licensed and board-certified by the National Commission and Council for acupuncture and Oriental medicine (NCCAOM), she is a leading, contributive, Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Illinois.

In 2006, Jennifer founded The Nest—a nurturing environment where her staff of specialists provide expert health care to women, children, and families. Her commitment to providing the finest care has fueled her dedication to seek out the best post-graduate training and certifications that further her study of traditional Chinese medicine. Her most recent accomplishment was studying with internationally renowned teacher and master herbalist, Arnaud Versluys, Phd L.Ac., founder of the Institute Of Canonical East Asian, and earned a Diplomate in Canonical Chinese Medicine degree (DCCM)—a study comprised of the original lineages of Chinese medicine which places importance on acupuncture-herbal medicine synergy for dramatic, individualized healing. The emphasis of her advanced training and post-graduate study include Reproductive Health, Pregnancy, Labor & Childbirth, Postpartum Care, and Pediatric Acupuncture.

As a third-year medical student, Jennifer chose to specialize in the treatment of children. She traveled to Europe to study with internationally renowned author, teacher, and Chinese medicine practitioner, Julian Scott. Honing her skills as a pediatric specialist, she learned special needling and non-insertive needle techniques to treat children of all ages. Being one of a few acupuncturists in the country who specialize in the treatment of children, she offers a much needed, non-invasive option to pediatric care, which includes pre and post immunization treatments, healing from allergies, as well as chronic or difficult to treat childhood ailments.

Jennifer has had the privilege to study with some of the most outstanding teachers in the field of Chinese Medicine, including: Arnaud Verslyus, Mike Berkley of the renowned Berkley Center for Reproductive Wellness in New York City, Debra Betts, Claudia Citkovitz, Julian Scott, and Dr. Tan. Jennifer also studied advanced eastern nutrition with Paul Pitchford, author of Healing with Whole Foods.

Jennifer’s extensive experience in treating fertility, women’s health, pregnancy, and childbirth, allow her to work cooperatively with OB/GYNS, reproductive endocrinologists, midwives, doulas, and internal medicine physicians. Providing the highest level of integrative health care, Jennifer is very well-respected, and has developed many important working relationships within her fields of obstetrics, gynecology, and fertility.

Jennifer has developed a love and passion for working with women pre-conception, through postpartum, and beyond. She has been pioneering childbirth acupuncture in Chicago for the past decade, bringing awareness to OB/GYN’s, midwives, and doulas to the important benefits of utilizing acupuncture during pregnancy, labor, and childbirth. As a practitioner of Chinese Medicine and a mother of two girls, one hospital birth and one home birth, she fully understands the importance of helping women be well-informed and feel supported, so that they can successfully experience the life-changing process of giving birth.
